Q: Why should my students enter
Energy by Design?
A: Your students will learn at every step of this contest.
All entries will be judged on scientific relevance as well
as a students ability to clearly and accurately communicate
those ideas. To be successful, students will need to be familiar
with the principles of energy efficiency, and they will need
to communicate their understanding in a coherent, organized
manner.
In addition to requiring knowledge in energy-saving principles, Energy by Design will give students practical training in applied art. The contest also includes a take-home component that encourages students to work with their families and parents to learn about energy efficiency.
The prizes will be an incentive, but we feel that
they are secondary to this projects educational appeal.
